So for today and tomorrow, I really did make Fog Lifted free on Amazon. This is kind of a test, see how many people get it, then see how many people read it – well, I guess I wouldn’t really know that. But then I get to see how many people review it. I’m hoping for like 5, but I’d take 3 or 2 or 1.
I’m still trying to find my voice. Still looking for ways to impart humor. I’ll never be my hero Sir Terry Pratchett or have the prose of Pat Rothfuss, but I’ll keep striving for such things.
That’s all for now.
I interrupted the editing of Hero in a Halfling to work on something fun and new.
In about a span (11 days if you’re familiar with the calendar of Temerant) I wrote and have now submitted a short tale to Amazon. It’s about 12k words – 50 pages.
But it’s free if you sign up for the mailing list. So please, download it, review it, let me know what you think. It’s free – I’m cuttin’ me own throat here.
Postscript: If you haven’t read The Name of the Wind, you might not understand these references (Interlude, Span). But let me just say that I’m currently obsessed.
PPS: Oh, and here’s the Amazon link for anyone interested in that sort of thing.
My debut novel, Hero in a Halfling, will be released October 5th. This book has been a long time coming. I’m super excited for its release. Feel free to sign up for updates, download the preview, or pre-order it today.
